JOB PURPOSE

Oversees the day to day operations of the desk side technical support staff.

KNOWLEDGE:
  • Computers and Electronics — In-depth knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, Microsoft Management Systems (SCCM) and Microsoft Office Suite of Applications, office computer equipment, networks, DOS, and databases.
Work Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years (in excess of degree requirements stated above) of progressively responsible experience in customer service and computer operations.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience leading/supervising others.
Essential Job Duties and Tasks
  • Scheduling work for employees.
  • On-the-job training and coaching employees.
  • Establishes and maintains a standardized desktop environment.
  • Maintains a high level of customer service.
  • Establishes a routine and timely new hire release process for desktop systems.
  • Evaluates hardware and software.
  • Participates in projects and maintains knowledge of current technologies.
  • Documents all equipment installations, and provides technical documentation and training to end-users.
  • Develops and sustains an understanding of industry best practices as they relate to desktop lifecycle.
  • Assists with the development, monitoring, and refining of the workflow and business processes.
