Provides support, oversight, administration and facilitation of changes that affect   facilities, infrastructure, hardware, operating systems, database platforms, firmware, network, and software environments for 24/7 IT Operations. Ensure audit tracking, reliability, availability, correct functionality, system integrity, and risk mitigation in IT Service Delivery model by coordinating, communicating and recording changes to non-development environments. Coordinates & facilitates all   Software, Hardware, and Infrastructure code and configuration changes.

Essential Job Duties:
  • Coordinates within the department and with the IT operations and infrastructure teams to ensure that the system runs and interfaces smoothly
  • Understand business processes and apply this knowledge to solve defined business problems
  • Provides functional oversight for operational implementation plans
  • Consults with user groups, developers, technical staff and management to define the organization’s operational requirements
  • Directs the creation and maintenance of processes and procedures for the operational team
  • Plans, directs and coordinates change and release activities, overseeing complex implementations with multiple dependencies and cross-impacts
  • Directs complex changes and releases of new products or services, enhancements to existing products or services, and decommissions of systems to meet the company’s goals, business requirements and business processes
  • Assigns duties, responsibilities, scope of authority and coordinates activities of change and releases
  • Verifies that all tests results are updated and documented as required
  • Capably manages high volume and high frequency of complex change and releases
  • Attends meetings, present information at meetings; participates in release and migration planning meetings
  • Develops and maintains an understanding of the Texas competitive energy market
  • Gathers, consolidates and communicates change and release information
  • Collaborates with other application and technical resources when resolving a problem or implementing a system change
  • Updates and maintains required systems documentation, following the documentation standards where applicable
Work Experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years (in excess of degree requirements stated above) of progressively responsible experience in system integration processes
  • Knowledge of theory and principles of change, release, incident, problem, and project management
