The configuration and testing of PAM and LDAP Active Directory integration on Red Hat Enterprise Linux and IBM AIX servers. 

As part of an ongoing Identity and Access Management project the Linux Administrator is responsible for the configuration and testing of PAM and LDAP/Kerberos Active Directory integration on Red Hat Enterprise Linux. The candidate will also be responsible for the creation of the LDAP authentication and directory service integration design, the documentation of procedures, and development of repeatable best practices. Will assist in developing standard operating procedures to ensure a consistent and optimum level of performance for both operational and regulatory compliance. 

KNOWLEDGE: factual or procedural information which makes adequate performance of the job possible. 
• Integration with Microsoft AD. 
• Native Linux LDAP/Kerberos models (sssd, etc.) 
• Linux Pluggable Authentication Modules – installing, testing and updating 
• Knowledge of basic network concepts, familiarity with TCP/IP and VLAN functionality 
• Knowledge of common network and authentication services (DNS, Samba, LDAP, Kerberos) 
• Knowledge of one or more programming or scripting languages (PERL, BASH, Ruby, Python, etc.) 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 

Work Experience 
Minimum of 5 years’ experience (in excess of degree requirements) 

Skill Requirements 
  • Computers and Electronics — Knowledge of: 
  • Linux-based server architecture, design, security, and administration 
  • Red Hat Satellite Server 
  • Shell Scripting – SED, AWK 
  • PERL Scripting
