Resumes to:
  • Creates the strategy, governance, and framework for the IT Strategy & Governance team that evolve around  business operations with regards to IT strategy and technology with an emphasis on defining requirements and value.
  • Plays a key leadership role in the creation, development, and implementation methods of  IT Strategy that encompasses technology, processes, and projects across all facets of  business.
  • Acts as the liaison across organizational boundaries with regard to IT strategy and technology with an emphasis on defining requirements, synergies, and demonstrating value.
Job Duties:
  • Leads development of IT Strategy.
  • Leads development and evolution of internal IT Business Relationship Management program.
  • Advises, recommends, and justifies critical strategy and governance decisions to management and senior staff.
  • Develops and maintains complex IT strategic roadmaps specifying goals, defining strategy, coordinating cross-departmental staff, developing high-level schedules, identifying risks, and estimating costs for overall strategic IT initiatives.
  • Collaborates with project sponsors, business owners, enterprise architects, and product owners to validate high-level requirements, costs, and benefits of IT initiatives ensuring consistency in prioritization across IT.
  • Manages and maintains an ongoing interface with various organizational and regional groups in areas such as decision analysis, technical needs, planning and execution.
  • Participates in the creation, review, and monitoring of Service Level Agreements between business and IT.
  • Anticipates internal and/or external business challenges and/or regulatory issues and recommends contingencies and solutions to overcome objections and achieve desired results.
  • Recommends process, product and/or service improvements and evaluates their organizational and financial feasibility.
  • Collaborates with Enterprise Architecture, GRC, Product Owners, and IT Asset Managers to partner with key vendors on short term and long term strategies to ensure consistency in needs determination and delivery expectations.
  • Applies in-depth knowledge of business and IT to validate the cost-benefit analysis of IT initiatives.
  • Provides critical analysis of current and future strategy and business direction.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or related field, or six years applicable experience is required.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • TOGAF certification preferred.
  • SCRUM Master certification preferred.
Work Experience
Minimum of 8 years (in excess of degree requirements stated above) of progressively responsible experience in the information technology or electric utility industry performing IT work.
