Job Description:
Serves as a Subject Matter Expert for software licensing strategic planning and works on difficult IT asset management issues where analysis of the situation requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Develops and manages processes and procedures using business process analysis abilities to create, implement, and optimize software requests and license management processes.
Participates in the development and maintenance of the CMDB, IT Service Catalog, IT Cost of Ownership, and service delivery cost models and benchmarking activities.
Reviews licenses and/or contracts to ensure that hardware and software equipment is covered by the contract and properly documented.
Investigates historical purchase records and/or contracts, to identify and populate entitlements in SAM tools.
Analyzes software license purchases/contracts and software discovery data to perform reconciliation and remediation tasks to ensure data accuracy, quality, and compliance.
Supports hardware & software asset audits and internal compliance monitoring.
Initiates research to develop processes and procedures that produce efficiencies with asset monitoring and control.

Required Skills and years of experience:
Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field strongly preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
Minimum five years (in excess of degree requirements stated above) of applicable experience is required.
CITAM Certification and/or CSAM Certification, or similar certification preferred.
ITIL Certification (Foundation or Intermediate Level) preferred.
Preferred candidate will have a combination of training and experience in information technology and business operations and should be able to incorporate business systems analysis, project management, workflow analysis, and technical communication skills effectively into the role to maintain IT asset management compliance posture.
Preferred candidate will have experience developing and maintaining IT control documentation – control matrices, narratives, process flows, etc.
Preferred candidate will have compliance and risk management related experience executing established framework, standards, policies and procedures.
Good troubleshooting skills and technical knowledge with the ability to think outside the box
Broad knowledge of information technology systems, concepts and methodologies
