This resource will be accountable for establishing a COC within the GCS Supply Chain focused on Offer Security and associated data integrity. 
 
Key deliverables will include:  
  1. Defining a Global Security principle and practice for suppliers, partners, and fulfillment channels associated with GCS offers,
  2. Align these standards with Internal expertise, industry standards, and emerging GCS Global Security Communities,
  3. Lead Partner dialogues to drive scaling and expertise to achieve base minimum requirements while establishing road-map to drive competitive differentiation,
  4. Assess existing footprint vulnerabilities with the GS Supply Chain, identify remediation, establish dynamic audit and validation processes, drive Partner community participation, own Customer CE excursions, and ensure sustainability cohesive with market requirements.
Role Responsibilities
  • Negotiates interface decisions that affect and require integration of own work into the related project
  • Provides and is accountable for complex technical direction to other technical personnel to complete an engineering project, or may work alone, having significant responsibility on a complex, innovative or critical assignment
  • Delivers effective presentations and technical reports Works as part of a cross-functional team to take product from PFG through prototype and into production
  • Assists in presentations or topical discussions with customers Assists or drives vendors to define features, functions and optimizations for industry leading differentiation
  • Designs and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating accuracy of products
  • Designs and defines system requirements for complex customer systems, and/or prepares studies and analyzes existing systems.
  • Determines system specifications, input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
  • Coordinates design of subsystems and/or the integration of total systems or multiple functions.
  • Design of assigned system/subsystem and meeting quality requirements.
  • Develops and recommends corrective actions.
  • Bench-mark, test and analyze products during all phases of the development process.
  • Documents results in technical reports, white papers and online web pages.
  • Ensures assignments are completed within schedule and cost objectives.
  • Coordinates root cause analysis to solve issues including complex issues.
  • Interfaces with technologists, development and marketing to define and optimize system performance and resolve performance problems.
 
Requirements
Excellent understanding of appropriate system architectures. Excellent understanding of hardware and software interactions, and able to apply this understanding to resolve issues. Strong understanding of appropriate technologies, vendor products, industry practices related to Application security, Information security, Network security, Disaster recovery / business continuity planning, Operational security, and End-user education. Certification in associated Cyber Security standards such as CISSP, CISA, GSE-GIAC, ….. would be advantageous.  

Ability to lead, motivate and direct a workgroup, ability to influence others to achieve results. Typically requires 12+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8+ years with a Master’s degree; or 5+ years with a PhD; or equivalent experience.
 
Additional Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Supports Capital and Operations budgets to include developing cost estimates, costs benefit analysis, and preparing business cases
  • Supports employment decisions for direct reports (hiring, terminations, performance appraisals, etc.) by working with People and Culture Department.
  • Work hand in hand with business customers to understand Security requirements, requests and feedback on vendors to support selection
  • Develop, lead and execute strategies for assigned categories – as related to supply chain security
  • Analyze complex supplier data (including spend, usage and performance)
  • Perform inventory planning analysis as related to supply chain security
  • Create and monitor category budgets, as appropriate
  • Explore market opportunities to improve upon current design and plans
  • Support Invitation for Bid or Request for Proposal processes where supply chain expertise is needed
  • Support the Development and execute the supplier negotiations strategy to achieve the best value and security
  • Assist in Selecting suppliers for assigned category
  • Manage Procurement projects and delegate tasks to other stakeholders, as needed
  • Monitors and follow applicable laws, compliance and regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
