The senior system administrator will be responsible with managing, planning, and implementing AD in an Enterprise Network. The resource will support technical design/architecture, systems management and maintenance of Microsoft Active Directory infrastructure, DNS, WINS, and Group Policy for enterprise desktop systems, servers, and applications.
The senior system administrator will also be responsible with planning, designing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all Exchange on premise and O365 hardware/software. The resource will support complete system security, checklists, patches, upgrades, configuration, troubleshooting and documentation of equipment required to maintain the Enterprise environments.
The ideal candidate should be accustomed to working in a mid to large-size organization and possess the desire to cross train and perform other duties as required. A strong network and telephony understanding is desired.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain standards, policies and procedures for MS Active Directory in compliance with insurance industry security standards and MS best practices.
  • Provide end-to-end management, support and ownership of Active Directory that includes but not limited to –
  • AD Physical/Logical Architecture, AD Schema, AD Replication, Sites and Subnets, AD backups and restores
  • Domain Controller Strategy
  • Trust Relationships
  • Organizational Units (OUs)
  • Designing, planning and implementing group policies.
  • Troubleshoot/Resolve Windows and Active Directory systems issues.
  • Manage end user accounts, permissions, and access rights in accordance with privacy, security, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Maintain standards and templates for MS Windows in compliance with insurance industry security standards and MS best practices.
  • Operate and maintain all production, test, and development systems in a Windows environment.
  • Provide end-to-end management, support and ownership of the corporate email and Exchange environment, which comprises Exchange on premise and O365 services.
  • Assist/Coordinate with messaging projects, software upgrades, architecture changes and implementation of new components within the environment.
  • Develop standards and procedures for routine Exchange on premise server maintenance tasks.
  • Troubleshoot/Resolve Messaging Server issues, working in collaboration with other relevant IT areas and vendor support.
  • Qualified candidates should have an understanding of multiple network components including but not limited to: switches, routers, VPN configuration, security, telecommunication systems and programming.
  • Create and maintain operational checklists and operational reports.
  • Produce, Maintain and update technical documentation. 
Active directory skills required:
  • 7-10+ years of experience with Microsoft Active Directory, DFS, DNS, Group Policy, Registry.
  • 7-10+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems(Server 2008, Server 2008 R2, Server 2012, Server 2016).
  • 7-10+ years of experience working in an enterprise multi-domain AD environment as an administrator.
  • Expert Knowledge and experience in Inter-Domain trusts pertaining to Active Directory.
  • Knowledge and troubleshooting skills related to DNS, Sites and Services, and WINS.
  • Knowledge of Group Policy and AD replication.
  • Knowledge and experience with Active Directory performance, monitoring, support tools.
  • 7+ years of experience with O365 environment, preferably with experience in migrations from on premise to the Cloud.
  • 7+ years of experience with Exchange 2010 and 2013 servers with emphasis on high-availability and uninterrupted 24/7 messaging services.
  • Experienced with PowerShell scripting for administration, automation of processes, and issue resolution.
  • Experienced with perimeter SMTP appliances such as IronPort, Zix encryption, MessageLabs etc.
  • Experienced with owa and mobile email management. Hands-on experience with AirWatch preferred.
  • Experienced with Email Archiving / E-discovery solutions, such as CommVault, or Enterprise Vault.
  • Understanding of Electronic Records Management and document lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of peripheral systems and protocols, such as Email Gateways, ADFS, AZURE AD etc.
